Why does my home have a pump chamber?
In the majority of homes, wastewater from the property travels from the private wastewater drain to the pubic wastewater drain using gravity. Pump chambers are installed in properties where the private drain is lower than the public drain and therefore waste needs to be pumped away in order to remove it.
What if a problem occurs and the pump stops working?Pump chambers require minimal maintenance however if the pump fails or there is a blockage, the contents of the pump chamber will need to be removed before the pump can be serviced.
How can we help
Alpha Drain can quickly clear the contents of the pump chamber using our vacuum truck. In most instances we can be onsite within hours so the contents from the pump chamber can be removed and the repair carried out. While we do not do the repairs, we can help arrange a pump specialist for you.
